Marrakech to Zagora Desert

Marrakech to Zagora desert is one of the best option for the trvellers whom has a short holiday, this itinerery during 2 days one nghit in Zagora dunes.

Day 1: Marrakech – Zagora

Departure from Marrakech at 8 am in a private 4×4 vehicle, in the direction of the High Atlas,

crossing the mountain of Tizi´n Tichka whose altitude is 2260 meters.

passing through many Berber villages. During the trip, we will make a stop at an argan oil cooperative, where you can buy cosmetic products .

We will continue our route crossing a landscape of volcanic mountains, until we reach Agdz,

We will resume our route through the Draa Valley.  Ancient route of the caravans of the desert, today formed by 4×4 looking for adventure, in a stony desert and with few dunes.

after our arrival to Zagora We will continue with  camel trekking until we reach our camp.

we will stay and  have dinner and enjoy an unforgettable night under the stars and sleep in our tents,

for sure that will be an amazing experience

Day 2- Zagora- Marrakech

 

After breakfast we start the day. Departure from the desert to Marrakech. You can leave the camp with the dromedaries or take the 4×4 and continue along the same route as the previous day, as it is the only way to our
destination. Ouarzazate is the capital of the cinema, where are the movie studios “Atlas Studios” where movies such as Gladiator, Asterix and Cleopatra, The Jewel of the Nile and many other known have been recorded. If you wish, you can visit the film studios. The route will continue to the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the scene of many Hollywood films. The visit will be made with a guide from the area. Once the visit is over, the route continues by road, crossing the mountain pass of the High Atlas, until you reach Marrakech. The end of the trip!
