4 Days from Fes to Marrakech
Morocco Desert tour 4 Days from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert. In this itienrery will enjoy landscapes and camel treks experience.
DAY 1: FEZ – MIDDLE ATLAS – AZROU – DESERT OF MERZOUGA
After breakfast we will start the route to the desert. Our first stop will be in the city of Ifrane “the Switzerland of Morocco”
We will continue on our way to cross the middle Atlas making a stop in the Azrou forest, where we can find wild monkeys and enjoy the impressive cedar forest.
Than crossing the middle Atlas, we will make a stop to eat in Midelt which is located on the slopes of Mount Ayachi. We will continue our way to cross the Great Atlas.
Our next stop will be at the Er- Rachidía dam to take panoramic photos.
following the road and make a panoramic stop in the Ziz Valley.
We will continue with our route to Erfoud, a city located in an oasis in the Sahara desert famous for its fossils and for being the scene of films such as the mummy or the prince of Pérsia.
Arrival in Merzouga, where we will enjoy a dromedary ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. and then you can enjoy dinner on an unforgettable night in the desert, where you can sleep in the typical haimas and contemplate the unique sky full of desert stars.
DAY 2 : DAY TO ENJOY THE DESSERT
We will get up early to see the spectacular sunrise in the desert.
when we have breakfast and we will go with the dromedaries back to the lodge to be able to take a shower.
Then we will take the 4×4 and follow a route that will take us to visit an oasis called Tisardmin.
We will continue the path until we reach the place where fossils can be found.
Following our route we will reach a stopping point to enjoy the Berber families and have a tea with them so that we can soak up their lifestyle.
Continue to the town called Khamliya, where we can enjoy dances and songs typical of the region offered by its people who come from South Africa.
We will continue until we reach Rissani to visit the only market in all of Morocco that opens 3 days a week where we can find a variety of typical products.
we can also see a large parking lot for donkeys, the largest in all of Morocco.
Surely you would like to taste a very typical dish of the area called “Madfona” for lunch which consists of a typical Arab bread stuffed with meat, onion and 44 species.
After lunch we will return to the lodge where we can rest a bit, take a shower and be able to watch a fantastic sunset. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA-ERFOUD-TODRAS THROT- DADES
the trip continues passing an area with fossiles, small villages and oasis until we arrives the city of Tingerhir.
We take you to a visit to the cliffs of Todra Gorges and after the rocks of the Dades Gorge. Here you will have dinner and spend the night in a charming guest-house at the edge of the river
DAY 4: DADES-OUARZAZATE- AIT BAEN HADDOU- MARRAKECH
Starting the route through the valley of the roses, where women’s cooperatives make different cosmetics.
We continue our way through “The route of the thousand Kasbahs”.
Skoura oasis is spectacular view of the palm than visit the Kasbah Amridil. which dates back to the 17th century and is one of the most spectacular in Morocco.
Head to Ouarzazate known for being the door of the desert and the capital of the cinema, where are the movie studios. where films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Star Wars among others were filmed and we can visit them.
its the occasoin to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, declared by Unesco World Heritage of Unesco. where series of films are made, such as The Jewel of the Nile.
Visit to the Kasbah than lucntime. We will continue our journey arriving in the afternoon to Marrakech, our destination, where we will take you to your riad or hotel. End of our trip and hoping you liked it.
